Checkmate Afghan/Game - PDF knitting pattern
Checkmate is another of our Afghan Games. Use it as an afghan or put it on the floor and play the game. You don’t have to make it in these vivid colours!
The afghan shown in the photos was knitted on a knitting machine with a garter carriage but you can also make it by hand.
The playing pieces can be tucked away in their own bag which makes a small pillow and stops the pieces from getting lost.
