Programme 7 — Base Building
Twelve weeks of aerobic base for endurance athletes with the patience to go slow.
Six sessions a week at primarily easy, zone-two effort. This is the off-season block, or the foundation before any race-specific plan: aerobic engine building, not speed work and not race prep. Volume scales gradually and stays sport-specific, whether you run, ride or swim. The discipline here is not pace, it is restraint, and going easy when you could go hard is the whole practice. No personal bests in week twelve. The base is the point; the performances come in the programmes you build on top of it. Full session plan included. Companion to Vol. 19 (Endurance).
Includes the complete audiobook (MP3, AI-narrated).
