SKILL LEVEL

Intermediate - Crocheters looking to follow this pattern should know how to:

• Read a crochet pattern - There is NOT a video tutorial for the entire crochet wall hanging pattern (though there is one for the seam).
• Work the basic stitches - Chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet and treble crochet.
• Work a Puff Stitch (as indicated in the pattern) or be willing to learn.
• Work in the round, including closing rounds with a slip stitch.
• Create chain spaces, know what chain spaces are and how to work into them
• Skip stitches
• Place multiple stitches into one stitch or space
• Understand the technique of seaming a project together (prior knowledge of the Single Crochet Mesh Seam is not required as tutorials are included). NOTE: You can change the seam to any seaming method you prefer but know that it will alter how the first Round of the Border is worked and it will be up to you to alter the border as needed. 

This is NOT a beginner pattern! If you're only just learning to crochet, this crochet wall hanging pattern will be outside of your skill level. However, Advanced Beginners who have been crocheting for a while, are familiar with the skills listed above and/or are willing to learn should have no issue working through this crochet wall decor pattern, especially as the PDF pattern will walk you through everything step by step.

SIZE

27 inches x 9 inches, blocked

When using 3 squares as written in pattern. Each square is approximately 8 inches x 8 inches, blocked.

YARN REQUIRED

You will need DK (3 - Light) cotton yarn. You will need approximately: 

Color A (Yellow): 50 g / 123 yds

Color B (White): 45 g / 111 yds

Includes seaming, border and hanging on dowel.

Yarn Used: We Crochet’s Cotlin DK in colorways Marigold (yellow) and Swan (white). This yarn is 70% Tanguis Cotton / 30% Linen. 123 yards / 50 grams per skein. I used 1 skein of each color.

If you alter the pattern in any way, your yarn usage will be different than listed.

TOOLS 

• 3.5 mm (E-4) hook 
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Stitch Markers

Additional Material Required:

One 30 inch (or longer) wooden dowel for hanging. 

I purchased a ¼ inch thick, 36 inch long oak dowel in the lumber department of Home Depot.
