Swedish through Music eBook 2020

About every two weeks someone asks me if anyone has ever told me I look like Neneh Cherry-- so it was only a matter of time before I got a Swedish through Music eBook together, since she is my favourite Stockholm-born songstress! But I couldn't find any songs of hers recorded in Swedish... but not to worry, got a bunch of other songs for you to get started on here!

This eBook was created in collaboration with my friend Liv Enqvist. Please check out her incredible art right here: www.livenqvist.com.
...and our first giggle-filled collab right here: https://www.mixcloud.com/LanguagesThroughMusic/swedish-through-music-1/
Was that only a year ago?! Where does time go?

All the eBooks will be regularly added to and updated. Enjoy!
Your feedback is welcome!
Thanks,
Desta

"Languages through Music kickstarted my French learning by hijacking my love of music."

"Great pioneering idea, fantastic upbeat teacher, nice visuals and graphic design, amazing musical taste and knowledge and genuine positive vibes!
I think greater things in life always come out of amalgamations and this one is perfect for culture lovers. Not sure if I am more looking forward the weekly language lesson or the musical discoveries and the windows they leave open towards their actual culture. All way round a pleasure. All way round a beauty delivered weekly on my own iphone. A weekly reminder of what make us beautifully human.
Why should learning difference be other than that? And thinking it that way even a political and activist initiative. Nothing but a big up."

"I'm brushing up on my Spanish with Languages Through Music and enjoying it so much. Every Wednesday I get a bundle (via a whatsapp group) including a song in Spanish, lyrics translations, key words, branded images and voice notes which talk about the song including its cultural and historical context so it's also educational teachings about countries like Cuba, Mexico, Argentina etc but most of all it's a fun way to learn. They also have courses in French, Portuguese and English. Much recommended if you want to brush up on a language you already speak at least at intermediate level, but I reckon even beginners would get a lot out of this."

"Obrigada Desta!!  :) Languages through music was a truly worthwhile experience. It was a creative and effective way to learn Portuguese, I found myself singing along to all songs and picking it up quite quickly. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn a language but finds existing courses daunting. Worth every penny!"

"I just had my first Portuguese lesson and it was great! I felt really relaxed throughout, not the usual deer in the headlights feeling I get when learning languages. The one to one was perfect for me, as it felt more like a conversation than a lesson. Fantastic concept, I look forward to my next session."

"Languages through music is such a great idea. I've been following French through Music. I love the eclectic choice of music. I find learning through songs really helpful because it gives you some context in which to remember the vocabulary. And having lessons in these bite-sized chunks means you can easily find time in your week to listen to them. This should be podcast, it's perfect podcast material! If you're into languages, or music - this is for you!"
