Season of Resonance - Check-ins and Conversational Residue
A practice for presence in conversation
Tone doesn't only live inside you. It also lives in the field between us. Before we can notice what we are broadcasting into a conversation, we need to pause and listen, both to ourselves and to what lingers after we speak.
This practice offers two simple but potent tools: a check-in at the beginning of a conversation (or meeting, or gathering), and a residue check at the end. Together, they help you sense not only your own presence, but the imprint your interactions leave in the field.
Over time, this practice trains you to distinguish between presence (which nourishes) and performance (which drains). It's designed to be used again and again, in any relational context: one-on-one conversations, team meetings, family gatherings, or facilitated circles.
This is a practice of tending the space between us, noticing that your tone reverberates into the nervous systems of others and into the ecological field we all share. When you choose presence, you don't just change yourself. You shift the resonance of the whole.
