Norwegian Fighters

There was no Waffen SS division composed solely of Norwegian fighters during World War II. While there were Norwegian volunteers who fought on the side of Nazi Germany, they were not organized into a separate Waffen SS division. Instead, Norwegian volunteers were scattered among various German military units, including the Waffen SS, and served in a variety of roles. Some Norwegian volunteers joined the Nordland Division or the Wiking Division, both of which were composed of volunteers from various countries. However, the number of Norwegian volunteers who served in the Waffen SS was relatively small compared to other countries. Overall, the Norwegian resistance movement against Nazi Germany was strong, and many Norwegians actively worked to resist the occupation and protect Norwegian Jews from persecution.
