Still Knot Dead Yet

Special introductory price of £5 until Dec 14th.

Wow. What a year, to say the least. I think it ranks up there with 2010 for the worst year of my life. And I’m sure I’m not alone.

There’s been times when I’ve wanted to run away from it all. Times when I wanted to go to sleep and just not wake up. But I’ve learnt that change is inevitable, and that I just have to keep chugging along. So here I am, and I’m guessing you are too, if you’re reading this, still alive at the end of it all, still (k)not dead yet, hoping for a better 2021.

This infinity scarf was inspired by the brilliant knitting designs of Muhu Island (Estonia), with my own little twist thrown in.

It starts with a provisional cast-on and is knit entirely in the round. Kitchener stitch to join the ends, and then a quick bit of duplicate stitch is required.

The colourwork is fully charted and there are some written directions as well.

I used 6 50g skeins of ‘CoopKnits Socks Yeah!’ - 3 Melanite & 3 Helium.

With gauge, you will end up with a scarf measuring approx. 90cm in circumference and 29cm across. You can, of course, use yarns of a similar weight, or even change to yarns of different weight and achieve a larger version. Size can be adjusted by adding/subtracting repeats of the charts. Customise if further by omitting the skulls and just using the snowflake charts, or add in more skulls by leaving out the snowflake charts.
