Lesson 83 - The Cry That Reached Heaven
While Moses is tending sheep in Midian, the old king of Egypt finally dies—yet life for the Hebrew slaves does
not get any easier! Under the new Pharaoh, the Israelites groan beneath their crushing workloads and cry out
for rescue. Exodus 2:23–25 gives us one of the most comforting passages in the entire Bible, using four
powerful verbs to describe God's heart: "God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with
Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. God saw the people of Israel—and God knew." Today we explore how
sound waves travel, why our lungs sigh under heavy stress, and how God hears every tear!
