How Ya, Baby

Here's my transcription of Fats' opening solo of a great tune by him and J.C. Johnson, How Ya, Baby.

Dare I suggest, Fats sounds a little "over-indulged" in parts of this performance but it's still a great solo and a great melody, so here it is!

I particularly like what he plays at the transition from the middle 8 into the last chorus. It's a fleeting chromatic modulation quite untypical of Fats but rather bold and modern-sounding.

N.B. I adapted the intro based on what Al Casey and the band are playing.
