I imaged tenderness like the Virgin Mary and I composed this song “Maria’s Smile”. The miracle that led me to originate this song.

I have a doll in KIMONO (Japanese cloths). My mother bought the doll a long time ago. The doll has been giving us loveliness and tenderness. The doll is so valuable to me and my mother.

The doctor diagnosed my father’s illness as terminal cancer. Then, the doll got changed. There were dark patches of mold on its legs and arms, unthinkable parts. I noticed it and I cut those parts and sewed with new cloth. It took four hours to finish it for me. My father had also an operation for four hours. Instead of my father, the doll received the cancer cells in its legs and arms, where my father would have got them. Since then, my mother has been calling the doll “A little Maria”. I also felt tenderness of it like the Virgin Mary.

Whenever you are in difficulty, in sick and in joyful days, Maria always embraces us with love and tenderness.

I imaged a childhood of the Virgin Mary and I drew the cover art of “Maria’s Smile”.
