Use as a baby blanket, lap blanket, wrap, or simply something to cuddle up in. There are no seams to be sewn. When you’re done knitting the pinwheels and edges, you can move right into knitting the border without any fuss. At most, you’ll be knitting with four colors at once, so the Intarsia bits aren’t too bad, fairly easy to manage. With all the small areas of color, it’s a great way to use up odd bits of yarn from your stash. Instructions included for making a larger blanket, and changing the gauge.
  • Yarn: Worsted weight, something fluffy and light, about 750 yards total.
  • Model: Reynolds Kitten and Brunswick Windmist, both of which were sadly discontinued… probably a couple decades ago.
  • Needles: US 13 (9 mm).
  • Gauge: 10 stitches and 8.5 garter ridges to 4 inches.
  • Finished size: 44 x 31.5 inches.
  • Stitch instructions: Charted only.
