Coyote Reconnaissance Vehicle
INFORMATION
To replace the Lynx reconnaissance vehicle, the Canadian Forces placed an order for 203 Coyote Reconnaissance Vehicles in 1993. By 1996, all had been delivered and were in use. The Coyote was initially offered in three different configurations: "Mast" with a mast-mounted surveillance system, "Remote" with a remote surveillance suite, and "Basic" with a reconnaissance/command post configuration. It is a non-amphibious armored reconnaissance vehicle based on the design of the LAV-25 and the MOWAG Piranha II.
