This case study explores Jewish perspectives on what it means to live a good life and how this relates to politics and society. This case study enables students to explore Jewish perspectives on what it means to live a good life by exploring a range of sources of authority, including writings by the secular Jewish philosopher, Hannah Arendt. Through analysing the case study, students engage with the ways in which context can influence a religious worldview. They also use the case study as a lens through which to address moral questions about right and wrong.

It provides foundations for AQA GCSE Jewish Beliefs and Practices, Theme D (Religion, Peace and Conflict), Theme E (Religion, Crime and Punishment) and Theme F (Religion, Human Rights and Social Justice).
