Alentejana

Esta camisola está inspirada pelas mantas de lã tradicionais, feitas em tear e com padrões geométricos tão característicos (ver exemplo nas fotos). Foram esses padrões que inspiraram o desenho do motivo do encaixe. A textura e as cores do fio Piopardo contrastam na perfeição com a lã Romaria, criando uma incrível semelhança com as mantas originais. Uma camisola com um padrão simples, geométrico e cheio de tradição. 

Esta camisola é tricotada de cima para baixo, em circular e sem costuras. Começamos por tricotar a gola e todo o encaixe com aumentos e o ponto jacquard. Nas cavas as malhas das mangas são deixadas em espera enquanto tricota o corpo em circular. No final, retomamos as malhas das mangas e tricotamos em circular até ao punho.

AMOSTRA: 24 ms e 36 vlts - 10x10 cm em ponto jersey com agulha de 3 mm tricotada em circular, lavada e bloqueada (é importante lavar e secar a amostra pois a contagem de malhas pode alterar com a primeira lavagem). Verifique também a sua amostra com o ponto jacquard, se necessário aumente a agulha apenas para essa secção (eu usei agulha 3.25 mm para o jacquard e agulha 3 mm para o ponto jersey).

AGULHAS : Agulhas circulares de 2.5 mm e de 3 mm (e as agulhas 3.25 para a secção do jacquard) com cabo de 80 cm para o corpo e cabo de 40 cm (ou 5 agulhas de meia; ou o cabo maior e tricotar em magic loop) para a gola (se necessário, ajuste o número da agulha para obter o valor da amostra). 

ACESSÓRIOS: Marcadores de malhas, agulha de tapeçaria, lã de desperdício.

TAMANHOS: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6). 

MEDIDAS FINAIS: 91 (102, 111, 122, 131, 141) cm de contorno de peito (ver medidas finais da peça no esquema); estas medidas já incluem aprox. 14 cm de folga no peito.

This sweater is inspired by traditional Portuguese wool blankets, made on a loom and with such characteristic geometric patterns (see example in the photos). It was these patterns that inspired the design of the colorwork pattern. The texture and colors of Piopardo yarn contrast perfectly with Romaria wool, creating an incredible resemblance to the original blankets. A sweater with a simple, geometric pattern full of tradition.

This sweater is knitted from the top down, in the round, and seamlessly. We start by knitting the collar and the entire yoke with increases and the colorwork pattern. In the armholes, the sleeve stitches are left on hold whilst the body is knitted in the round. At the end, we return to the sleeve stitches and knit in the round, from the top down to the cuff.

YARN: 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 4) balls of ROMARIA from Rosários4, color 17.

1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins of PIOPARDO from Rosários4, color 03.

GAUGE: 24 sts and 36 rnds - 10x10 cm in stockinette stitch with 3 mm needles, knitted in the round, washed, and blocked (it’s important to wash and block your swatch to get the correct gauge). Check also your gauge with the colorwork pattern, if necessary use a bigger needle for the colorwork section (I have used a 3.25 mm needle for the colorwork section and a 3 mm needle for the stockinette stitch).

NEEDLES: 2.5 mm and 3 mm circular needles (also 3.25 mm needles if needed for the colorwork section) with an 80 cm cable for the body and a 40 cm cable (or DPNs; or use the bigger cable and work in magic loop) for the neck (if necessary, adjust the needle size to match the gauge).

NOTIONS: Tapestry needle, stitch marker, waste yarn.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 91 (102, 111, 122, 131, 141) cm final bust measurements (refer to the schematic for more measurements); measures with approx. 14 cm of positive ease included.
