Wattlewood Maths: Teach Then Do, Foundation to Year 10

Maths that teaches you first, then lets your child practise. Wattlewood Maths now covers Foundation to Year 10, plus a Shapes and space section, in one file you open in your browser.

How it works Each topic has two tabs. Learn is for you: it explains what the idea is, how to teach it, the steps, and a worked example, so you don't need to be a maths person. Practice is for your child, with 5, 10 or 15 questions at a time, and New Questions gives you a fresh set whenever you want one.

Foundation year Foundation (Prep, Reception, Pre-primary or Transition) is included, with five number sense topics:

• Subitising 1 to 5
• Ten frames: seeing 6 to 10
• Counting and matching
• Comparing groups: more, fewer, the same
• Number bonds to 10

There are 60 questions, and your child answers by tapping, dragging or choosing an answer, so no typing is needed. If an answer isn't right, it says "Not quite, have another go."

Shapes and space A separate Shapes and space section has seven topics:

• Flat shapes: names and sorting
• Sides and corners of flat shapes
• Solid objects and their surfaces
• Faces, edges and corners of solids
• Where is it? Position words
• Directions and paths on a grid
• Tangram pieces

Each topic has Starter, Practice and Challenge depths, with 84 questions in total. There's also a printable seven-piece tangram with six puzzles, plus safe-making steps for the cutting. In this section each topic and depth has a set group of questions, shuffled each time.

Years 1 to 10 All the Year 1 to Year 10 topics are still here, with a Learn page and practice questions for each.

Choose the depth Pick Starter, Practice, Challenge or Mixed, so the questions suit where your child is at.

Evidence log Add your child's first name and each practice session saves to their evidence log. You can export the evidence for each child. If saving ever fails, it tells you plainly and doesn't pretend it worked.

Simple and private It's a single file and works offline. It starts empty, with no child names saved until you add one.
