This Beanie is a part of The Saami collection. Fishing is a traditional livelyhood for Inari Saami people and I wanted to honour that tradition with a pattern featuring some of the common fish varieties in the region: pike, perch and rainbow trout. Each size features a different fish! Nore means a school of fish in Inari Saami, so it is a very fitting name for this design.

Design notes

Knit bottom up and in the round.

The work begins with a ribbed cuff.

The colourwork pattern covers the body of the hat and the crown shaping rounds.

There is an individual chart with a graded colorwork pattern for each size. Note that each size features a different fish pattern.
