Carabe Kid is a seamless striped cardigan knit from the top down.
The design uses the contiguous method of shaping set-in sleeves developed by Susie M.
It’s perfect for stashbusting and completely unisex!
It’s a kiddy version of Carabe.

Finished chest (buttoned): 49.5 (56, 61.5)67, 71.5, 76 cm/ 19.75 (22, 24.5)26.75, 28.5, 30.25“.
The cardigan is intended to be worn with about 2.5-5 cm / 1-2” of positive ease. When you choose a size do not rely solely on age but measure your child’s chest and choose the size about 2.5-5 cm / 1-2” larger than the actual chest measurement.
Yarn
Any DK weight yarn in two colors (MC and CC). Sample was made in Rozetti First Class (which is now discontinued).

4.0 mm / US #6 circular needle (60 cm / 24” long) and dpns.

4 (5, 5) 6, 7, 7 buttons (about 2 cm / 0.75” in diameter), interlocking stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving, stitch holders / scrap yarn.
Gauge
22 sts and 30 rows in 10 cm / 4” over St st worked flat with larger needles.
Take time to save time - check your gauge. If necessary, adjust needle size to obtain the correct gauge.
