Printed for Month 6 of the Summer Wreath Block of the Month. Bluetit and flowers: measuring 4 by 32" finished. (requires previous blocks)
A soft palette of summer sky blues with light neutral patchwork, and a rainbow of summer flowers and riverbank animals. This quilt measures 40 by 40" and would be ideal on the wall or to cuddle up under. It is made from 5 central blocks and a further four border blocks to make a total of nine.
The quilt itself is in my usual style, so it is a patchwork background with raw edge applique sewn with free motion embroidery. You don't need a fancy machine to sew it but your machine needs to be able to do free motion embroidery. The pattern contains basic instructions for the patchwork. I don't go into a lot of detail on patchwork as I am assuming that you know the basics but other than the odd half square triangle, it is all pretty simple.
