This wall art is inspired by Horatio Spafford's beautiful hymn, "It Is Well with My Soul." After losing much of his property and business in the Chicago Fire, Spafford faced even more heartache when his wife and four daughters were in a shipwreck while traveling to England. Only his wife survived. On his way to comfort her, Spafford passed close to the location of the wreck and was moved to write these words. Even in tragedy, heartbreak, and suffering, Spafford understood that his comfort was in his Lord. And our comfort is in the Lord as well--which is why we boldly proclaim, "It Is Well with My Soul."

This artwork is printed on an antique dictionary page trimmed to fit an 8 x 10 frame.
