Felurian's Shadow Lament
In fluting tones and ethereal trance, in Felurian's own voice, this hypnotic medley is in an ancient Faen rhyme often sung in the Faen courts, such as the House of Fine, the Gorse court, the Dayward, The Endless Night, and many others. With sweeping cello and angelic humming, voiced under the purple twilight sky, amidst flocks of butterflies and shadow, Felurian sings to her beloved Hugo, as she weaves his shaed, (shadow cloak) from starlight and moonlight. This song will as stated in the lyrics, shall make your mind, drunk on dreams, giving that aching want to sleep to this lullaby.
For those who are curious, the song is about the fallout of the Singers and the Knowers many centuries past, and the havoc it created in the eleven realms, ultimately, the devastation it crafted for the creatures that lived there, shattering the sky with horn, and pivoting the two moons, one silver, one deep purple, out of balance. Only by restoring the sky of the realms by sewing a whole cloth and stitching it back piece by piece, did from that tragedy, this song emerge.
This song was made in Suno, a musical software program. The lyrics were written by Jack Buie and taken from chapter 193 of the book Hugo the Bloodless. Cover art was wonderfully and tremendously done by my girlfriend, Ashely Jones, (my very own Felurian).
