Barragán
First published as a 4-part knitalong in The Knitter magazine in 2023, Barragán is a dramatic lace wrap in two colours.
Mexican architect, Luis Barragán, is quoted as saying “A garden must combine the poetic and the mysterious with a feeling of serenity and joy”. This wrap was designed with yarn colours named “MY Serenity” and “MY Joy” and so it feels appropriate to name the wrap Barragán.
Barragán was originally designed using 3.25mm needles and this option is offered here and is recommended, as well as the option published in The Knitter magazine using 3mm needles. The photographs show the wrap knitted using 3.25mm needles.

Notes
1. Check your tension.
2. Using 3.25mm needles and 200g/800m of each colour is recommended and will require 4mm needles for the cast-on and cast-off.
3. If you are using 3mm needles (and only have 150g/600m of each colour), it is highly recommended that you follow the shorter version of Part Three to avoid running out of yarn.
4. Block to first set of measurements for your chosen needle size. Wrap will relax to second set of measurements after pins have been removed.
5. Pay close attention to s2kpo and sk2po – they are not the same!
6. All charts are optional and are on pages 9-11.
