Threefold Archive - 3 Scenery STLs + CAD & Paper Puzzle
Threefold Archive v1.1 adds a separate Open Archive Doorway to the existing $3 kit. You now get three scenery STLs and three matching editable CAD sources: the original Sealed Archive Door, new Open Archive Doorway and original Three-Seal Pedestal. The closed door and pedestal meshes are unchanged. This updates the same product; the price stays $3.
CLOSED AND OPEN STORY STATES
Use the closed door while players solve the gentle paper ordering puzzle, then manually swap it for the open doorway to show access. Both are fixed scenery. No door hinges, moving dial, fitted connectors or loose 3D seals are included. The decorative glyph legend is not an attempted solution. Play the puzzle on its paper board.
NEW OPEN ARCHIVE DOORWAY
A through pointed arch, raised threshold, front/back moldings, 36 curved wedge stones, two-sided pier masonry, backed crest badges, rear plaque and shallow steps. Nominal tiled base 101.6 x 50.8 mm, with projecting steps. Source opening maximum width 48 mm and pointed height 66 mm above Z7.9; these are not rectangular usable-clearance or miniature-fit claims. Five recorded rectangular passage samples were clear in the exported mesh. Physical fit is untested.
ORIGINAL SCENERY INCLUDED
The closed door has nested moldings, stepped piers, a fixed 36-tooth annular lock face, three blank seal stations, symbol relief, bands, rivets and crest stones. The pedestal has an octagonal stepped body, ribs, three symbol badges and shallow decorative wells. All three pieces are fixed.
PAPER PUZZLE
The same five PNG aids remain: player playboard, two clues, paper symbol tiles and private GM answer, plus a GM text guide with hints. Arrange one Star, Leaf and Wave across three stations. All six orders were checked; only one satisfies both clues, and each clue is necessary. Gentle introductory difficulty. Keep the GM answer private. Human playtesting and paper printing untested. Print playboard and tiles at the same 100% / 300 dpi scale without independently fitting each image to its page. The v1.0.1 tile-fit correction is retained. No VTT scripts, game rules, stat blocks, DCs, maps, named characters or extra rooms.
DOWNLOAD
Three STLs, three editable OpenSCAD sources, five puzzle PNGs with GM notes, mesh previews, size guide, geometry/source/slicer reports, aperture samples and selected open-doorway layer diagrams. Free sample: only the same Three-Seal Pedestal STL and CAD, without either doorway or puzzle aids. Earlier two-model preview images show a subset of this current kit.
SUPPLIED DIMENSIONS
Sealed Archive Door: 101.6 x 51.9 x 94.2 mm including base and projections.
Three-Seal Pedestal: 50.8 x 50.8 x 42 mm including base and projections.
Open Archive Doorway: 101.6 x 51.9 x 94.2 mm including base and projections.
VERIFICATION AND PRINTING
All three exact sources compiled in OpenSCAD 2026.10.25 development snapshot,
Manifold backend, and matched delivered solids within recorded limits: bounds
0.02 mm, relative volume 0.5%, symmetric-difference volume 1%. Tolerance
agreement is not byte identity or a physical print test. Other compiler versions,
backends and edited variants untested.
All three STLs independently sliced in OrcaSlicer 2.4.2 with one K1 SE 0.4 mm /
PLA / 0.16 mm profile, 3 walls, 15% infill and normal automatic supports, base
down at 100%. Exact input hashes, embedded settings, nonempty named layers and
extrusion XYZ bounds checked. Six selected open-doorway layers visually reviewed.
Five rectangular clear-passage samples at recorded heights passed against the
exported open-doorway mesh. They are not a full clearance envelope or a figure-fit
test. No physical printing, other printer/material, resin workflow or support
removal tested. Fine-detail survival, finish, adhesion, dimensions and strength
remain unverified. Inspect every layer and support for your own printer, then
make a trial print. No customer G-code, profiles or pre-supports supplied.
Moldings, glyphs, rings and raised stones may be fragile or disappear when reduced. All pictures are actual mesh previews, not photographs of prints. No physical 3D or paper print, human playtest or VTT import tested. No game figure-scale or connector compatibility claimed.
