Walk in Philadelphia # 1, the Old City and the river

This self-guided tour of approximately 3 miles takes you through the city's major historical landmarks and along the Delaware River.

It's full of notable sites that will fill you a day if you want to visit them all (some require reservations and a guide), but you can also do it leisurely in two hours while taking photos.

You'll pass through charming alleyways, residential streets typical of this part of the city, and others that are more commercial but just as pleasant. You'll have the opportunity to visit several ships if you wish (admission fees apply), and you'll no doubt return to these places to enjoy them again.
