Robin and Wren Poinsettia wreath - printed pattern

Celebrate winter with this sumptuous mounted textile art work. A robin and wren nestle amongst bright poinsetta and uplifting Christmas roses against a background of deep blue linen with a lovely yarn dyed finish. Rich coloured sloes, red and white berries and curving branches of eucalpytus complete the picture.

This printed pattern is a one-off pattern and not part of a set. This block measures 11"  square, although I have here mounted it on a 12" frame to give it a little more breathing room.

It features a plain background with raw edge applique (sewn without fusible) secured with free-motion embroidery. The applique is cut from batik fabrics and layered to build up the birds and the foliage.
