Introduce ratios and unit rates with this Ratio and Unit Rate Cut and Paste Activity. Students match each word problem to the correct ratio and unit rate, giving them practice connecting real-world situations to ratio language.
This resource includes 16 problems with three matching pieces for each one: the word problem, the ratio, and the unit rate. The ratios are not reduced, making this a helpful introductory activity for students who are just beginning to work with ratios and unit rates.
Students cut out the pieces, sort the matches, and glue them onto the blank answer sheet. Use this activity for partner work, stations, math centers, independent practice, or review.
