Dante's Window

Dante's Window, created by John Robert Beck in 2018, is an abstract work inspired by the distinctive beauty of Prairie School window designs. The composition draws on the strong linear framework and geometric divisions associated with that style, while transforming them into a more atmospheric and emotionally charged visual experience. Rich blues, violets, fiery reds, and glowing golds appear to radiate through the pane-like structure, suggesting light, depth, and motion within a carefully organized design. The artwork combines the precision of architectural pattern with the expressive energy of abstract form, creating a piece that feels both refined and powerful.
