These para schedule templates are printable rotation and coverage grids for secondary SPED and transition teams with more than one para: period by period assignments, a student coverage view, planned rotations, an absence coverage matrix, an inclusion and pull out planner, and a community roster.

Why I made this: On a team with three or four paras, the hardest part of the morning is often a 6:30 a.m. text that someone is out. If the coverage plan already exists, the team just follows it. These grids are the staffing map I wish every team made in the first week of school.

What's included:

• Cover and lead teacher how to page

• Multi para rotation grid: filled in example with made up names

• Multi para rotation grid: blank, up to 4 paras

• Student coverage view (initials only)

• Rotation plan for stations and job sites

• Coverage matrix for when a para is absent (2 pages, up to 4 paras, plus sub request info)

• Pull out and inclusion coverage planner

• Community and job site staffing roster

How I use it: Fill in pencil or dry erase. Laminate blank pages if you redo them often. Use initials and station names on posted copies. Fill the coverage matrix in the first week so a call in takes two minutes, not twenty. An editable Google Sheets version may follow later. These printable pages work on their own.

How it fits with my other products: My Teacher & Paraprofessional Daily Communication Log | Weekly Planning Pages covers daily notes between the teacher and para and weekly planning. These grids do not repeat those pages. They show staffing: who is where, and who covers.

Also from The Transition Cliff:

• Para Handbook: Roles, Confidentiality + IEP Basics for Secondary SPED

Who it is for: secondary SPED teachers, case managers, transition coordinators, and paras on grades 6 to 12 and 18 to 21 transition teams. Staff resource (Not Grade Specific).

What you download: one printable PDF, 10 pages, US Letter, with write on lines and tables.

Real buildings vary. Fill in your own names, dates, and local rules. Always follow your state and district policies.
