Retell A Christmas Carol through original illustrations, story sequencing and supported writing. Suggested ages 8–11, with shared or supported learning as needed.

Start with the illustrated story, then choose one of three activities: sequence and write; read and match captions; or create a picture-only story map and retell aloud.

Includes eight picture-and-writing panels arranged four per page, with adjoining cut lines and space to write beside each picture. Caption matching follows the writing panels and supports readers completing the activity by reading and not writing. The story map comes before the matching picture cut-outs.

Also includes teacher notes, terms of use, a sequence reference, useful vocabulary and discussion prompts.

11-page PDF. A4 portrait. Black-and-white printable pages. Print single-sided at 100% / actual size, using the same scale for matching pages. Purchased PDF is watermark-free.

Teacher guidance: The story includes ghosts, poverty, illness and death. Preview it for your pupils. The final spirit shows a possible future; Scrooge changes his behaviour and Tiny Tim survives.

For one teacher’s classroom or personal home use. Additional teachers require their own licence. The companion Read & Sequence booklet is sold separately.
