• Eight smaller picture-and-text cards with simpler wording

• Teacher notes with discussion prompts and ways to support or extend learning

HOW TO USE
Read and discuss the myth together. Explore unfamiliar words and how Persephone and Demeter feel. Cut out the small cards, mix them up, then arrange them in story order on the mat. Use the completed sequence to retell the story aloud, or make two six-page booklets and join them to hold all eight cards.
Print the student pages single-sided on A4 landscape paper at 100% / actual size. Print the cards and sequencing mat at the same scale so they fit. Activity pages use black-and-white illustrations and Quicksand font.
ABOUT THIS RETELLING
This pack follows the six-seed, six-month version of the myth and explores its traditional explanation for the seasons. It includes Persephone being taken against her will, separation and grief; review these themes before reading with your group.
WHICH PRODUCT SHOULD I CHOOSE?
