Ballroom cowl

It is dark. My heart beats and I can hear my own breathing. I walk to the middle of the dance floor. I bend my body to the starting position. The presenter repeats my name, the crystal chandeliers explode into their splendor. The music begins. This is were I belong.

The Ballroom is a simple circular cowl with beautiful lace edge on the other long side. The cowl is worked in round. The lace pattern resembles ballroom chandeliers. The rest of the cowl is worked with three row seed stitches. The piece is to be worn
wrapped twice around the neck.

Yarn: Malabrigo yarn Sock in colorway Pearl. 1 skein is required.
Needles: 3 mm/US2.5 circular needle, 60 cm /24 inches long.
Size: The cowl circumference is 120 cm/ 57 inches and it is 15 cm/5 3⁄4 inches high.
Gauge for lace: One chart repetition is 8 cm/31⁄4 inches wide and 4 cm/1 3⁄4 inches high.
Gauge for seed stitch: 13 sts x 21 rows = 5 cm/2 inches.
