MH-60 DAP

The MH-60L that has been altered to equip a number of offensive weapon systems is known as the Direct Action Penetrator (DAP), or DAP. Its purpose is to carry out attack helicopter operations using precision guided munitions, infiltration or exfiltration of armed small formations, and area fire. It can be configured to perform troop assault operations or direct action missions as an attack helicopter. Due to its high gross-weight restrictions, the DAP would not typically be utilized in the direct action role as the main transport for soldiers or supplies. The DAP is capable of carrying out any mission day, night, or inclement weather.
