Down the Ground - The Segment Breakdown System

Your engine gives you a segment. This turns it into a scorecard.

Down the Ground resolves cricket roughly five overs at a time - 22 for 2, 41 for 0, that sort of thing. Good for a fast match, less good when you want to know who actually made the runs. This companion takes any segment result and distributes it down into individual batting scores, fall of wickets, dismissals and bowling figures. It always adds back up to the segment total.

The idea behind it is simple. A segment that loses W wickets contains W plus one mini-partnerships. Work out where each wicket fell, that splits the runs into chunks, then share each chunk between the two batsmen at the crease. Seven small tables do the rest.

What it does not do: rate players. Nobody bats better than anyone else here - the tables share out runs your engine has already generated, for the match in front of you. Individual figures, not career stats.
