MBB Bo-105
Bölkow of Ottobrunn, West Germany, designed the Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm Bo 105, a lightweight, twin-engine multipurpose helicopter. It was the world's first lightweight twin-engine helicopter, as well as the first rotorcraft capable of aerobatic maneuvers like inverted loops. When it entered service in 1970, the Bo 105 had a revolutionary hingeless rotor system, which was a pioneering innovation in helicopters. The Bo 105 was produced at the newly merged Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm plant.
