Ali bin Abi Talib: The brave son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad
Ali bin Abi Talib was the brave son-in-law of the Prophet. His courage was proven when the Apostle was about to be killed by the Quraysh infidels.
That night, the Apostle told Ali to sleep at his place. Not long afterward a group of Quraysh infidels came to kill the Prophet. However, they did not kill because the person sleeping in that place was not the Messenger of Allah, but Ali.
When Ali became caliph, he lost his armor made of iron. It turned out that the armor had been taken by a Jew. However, when asked, the Jew did not want to return his armor.
To seek justice, Ali then took the matter to the judge in court. Ali brought two witnesses. His slave and his own son, Hasan.
But in court, even though the judge was his subordinate and a Muslim. Apparently Ali did not grant his request. But it's really extraordinary. Even though Ali was in power at that time, he still accepted the judge's decision gracefully.
On the contrary, the Jews changed to admire Ali's exemplary attitude. So he immediately continued, "Actually, I found the clothes on the street. Fell from Ali's camel." He immediately handed over the armor to Ali and accepted the shahada to convert to Islam.
Because the Jew converted to Islam voluntarily, Ali then presented the armor and added several hundred dirhams to the Jew.
