This pattern includes instructions to work a knitted pair of mittens (with notes to work muffatees), hat, and cowl using the stranded colourwork technique. All are worked from the bottom up and in the round.

32 (30, 28) sts x 34 (32, 30) rows = 4in/10cm measured over stranded stockinette on 2.25 (2.5, 2.75) mm needles

HAT & COWL

26 sts x 26 rows = 4in/10cm measured over stranded stockinette on 3.25mm needles

Some knitters work stranded and single-coloured at different gauges. Change needles, as needed, to keep stitch gauge the same throughout.

You may adjust finished size slightly by going up or down needles sizes.
