Troublemaker

'Troublemaker' is the big bad brother to my 'Wavemaker' shawl that is knit in a fingering weight. And just like it's little brother, it's a perfect way to show off beautiful variegated yarn.

Pattern is written (no charts) with detailed stitch count. The repeat is easy to memorise.

Knit with DK yarn from Wollmeise, using a semi-solid and a vibrant multi, approx. 400 metres of the semi and 340 metres of the multi.

Wollmeise DK comes in fat 200g skeins, so a skein of each is enough to knit this shawl. If you are substituting with other yarns, you will need 2 x 100g of the semi and 2 x 100g of the multi (assuming the yarn you have is in 100g skeins). The shawl is blocked at the end, to open up the wave pattern, so so ensure the yarn you use lends itself well to being blocked.

The shawl is an equilateral triangle measuring approx. 245cm x 200cm x 130cm (or 96"x 79" x 51").

I knit mine with a 5mm needle (US 8) - I am a tight knitter, so if you are not, you may want to drop a needle size.

Gauge is 19 stitches by 38 rows over 10cm/4" of **unblocked** garter stitch.
