Hey Baby

A cute baby blanket, knitted in DK weight yarn and presented with two different options.

Directions are given for a small pram-sized blanket (approx 22” by30 ”) knit in a solid colour and with an easy to memorise textured pattern. If a larger blanket is required, increasing the cast on in multiples of 10 allows for convenient sizing up.

Additionally, if you would rather use up leftover yarn in a variety of colours instructions are also given for converting this pattern to smaller squares - each approx 5.5” by 5.5”.

MATERIALS

4 mm needle

6 x 50g Drops Karisma Mix DK 100% wool. 100m/109yds. Colour 55.

GAUGE: 22 stitches x 28 rows = 10cm/4" in stocking stitch, blocked.

SIZE: 22" width x 30" length (56 x 76cm).This design was intended for a small pram-sized blanket but it could easily be sized up if required, and you have sufficient time and yarn.

NB. This blanket has a K1, P1 moss stitch border (referred to as seed stitch in some non-UK countries).
