This reversible eye motif is the first reversible thing I ever knit. One of my best friends is blind and we spend a lot of time shopping for items with the eye motif on them. We have found shoes, purses, phone cases, pillows, blankets; I’m sure there’s more too. This cowl was designed for her. I love that this kind of knitting creates a raised motif so she can feel the design.
This reversible cowl is knit from the top down using modified Fusion Knitting. There are 3 open eyes and 2 closed eyes.
Samples are shown in fingering and DK weight. This pattern can be adjusted in size and for various yarn weights. Look for solid/tonal yarns that are smooth and not sticky. This cowl is highly customizable.
