The Trelliswork Shawl is part of the Botanic Park Collection - 3 crescent shaped shawls all inspired by gardening, and featuring yarns by Australian independent dyers. The other 2 shawls in the collection are the Bush Wattle Shawl and Garden Sprout Shawl.

The structural base of many gardens is the trelliswork, which allows climbing plants to flourish. This shawl interprets a lattice trellis design, with diamond motifs and textural joins of wrapped stitches. For a fun touch, the shawl calls for 2 colours of fingering weight yarn. A light and dark colour together have a lovely contrast, but you can use whatever combination of hues that you like!
