
EC-135
A twin-engine civil light utility helicopter manufactured by Airbus Helicopters (formerly known as Eurocopter) is the Eurocopter EC135 (now Airbus Helicopters H135). It is equipped with a digital automated flight control system (AFCS) and is capable of flying under instrument flight regulations (IFR). It took to the skies for the first time on February 15th, 1994. It began service in 1996, and as of September 2020, 1,400 have been delivered to 300 operators in 60 countries, totaling more than 5 million flight hours. It is primarily utilized for corporate transportation, police enforcement, offshore wind support, and military flight training. It is also used for emergency medical helicopter services. A quarter of them are in North America, and half are in Europe. A military version of the H135 is the Eurocopter EC635, which has received certification.
