Circular Reasoning is worked in the round, beginning with a two colour stranded colourwork pattern and ending with alternating bands of stranded colourwork and slipped stitch texture. The ends are then grafted together to make a seamless double loop cowl. While the slipped stitch pattern adds a textural element, you can also do the entire scarf in stranded colourwork, in which case you will need 463 yds/423 m of Dyed in the Wool and 926 yds/846 m of Debauchery (or 463 yds/423 m of sport weight yarn).

About the Yarns
Spincycle Dyed in the Wool is a 2-ply light sport weight yarn, with each ply slowly changing colour to give long, evolving colour changes. Spincycle Debauchery is a laceweight 2-ply tonally dyed yarn, held double here for a similar gauge. Both yarns are made from Bluefaced Leicester wool, a soft, long-stapled wool that gives good drape and lustre, and will develop a slight fuzzy halo. When choosing yarns for your project, look for soft, plied wool or wool blends with a bit of a halo.
