Inspired by the textiles of the Italian Renaissance, the Firenze Cowl is a reversible, double-layer cowl in stranded colourwork. It uses an an original colourwork chart representing seaweed and waves, and a variation on a traditional colourwork pattern for the vines. The Firenze cowl is worked in the round from a provisional cast on, which is grafted to the end stitches in finishing.

Sunday Knits 3-ply (225 m/246 yd per 50 g), 1 skein each colour. Shown in MC Nirvana (92% merino, 8% cashmere), Sand; CC Eden (100% merino), Sage.

US 4/3.5 mm 24 in/60 cm circular needle or size to obtain gauge

27.5 sts & 32 rows = 4”/10cm in pattern, blocked.
