Reading a digital book is easy! When you purchase this book, you'll receive an email with links to download the book. You'll have access to two file types of the same book: an .epub (ebook) file and a .pdf file.

The simplest way to read this book is through the .pdf file. Any device can easily open this file. You’re off!

However, .epub (ebooks) files generally provide the best reading experience, as they better adapt text to fit whatever size screen you're using. Ebooks are easy to open, but can take a few steps depending on what you're using and whether you've done it before:

• Ereaders (Kindle, etc). Consult your device's documentation on how to load a file onto it.
• Apple products. Open .epubs directly, using the default Books app.
• Android/Chromebooks. You will need to first download an ereader app.
• Personal computers. For those using a non-Apple laptop or desktop, you will need to download an ereader app, like Calibre.

I have done my best to follow accessibility guidelines, including semantic HTML and alt text for images. However, improvements are still needed and ongoing. Specifically, around 300 figures use embedded text, and the quality of the alt text may vary.

3. Finishing my second volume of Humor in Various Moods and Meters, which takes the framework into vital, interesting places. This volume is mostly written—I would love to finish it!
