Description:
Fingerless mittens made with 2x2 ribbing for a cuff, top and thumb, stockinette stitch on a palm and broken rib on backside of a hand.
Perfect one small skein project or to use leftover yarn.

Skills:
You’ll need to know how to knit in a round. The pattern doesn’t specify how to divide sts between needles for knitting in the round. You’ll choose your preferable needles (4 dpns, 5 dpns or circular) and dived sts as you usually do for this type of knitting.
Pattern use Right (RLI) and Left (LLI) lifted increases. You can easily find video tutorials on Youtube or use other types of increases like Kfb, or M1R/M1L.

Materials:
Yarn: 110 yds (100 m) of worsted/aran weight yarn.
Sample made with Juniper Moon Farm Stratus 60% Wool 10% Yak 10% Alpaca, 20% Nylon, 142 yds (130 m)/50 g
Needles: size US 7 (4.5 mm), choose your preferable type of needles: double pointed needles (4 or 5) or circular needles for magic loop method
Notions: 2 markers, tapestry needle, piece of waste yarn

Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch in the round

Size: Adult Medium, to fit 8” (20 cm) hand circumference at palm
Finished size 7” (18 cm) long and 6.5” (17 cm) circumference
