UK Edition: Visual Timetables: Day, Lesson and Week Planners, SEND, KS4 and Post-16
Text based visual timetables for secondary pupils with SEND and ASC. Older pupils still need to know what is coming, but they won't carry a picture schedule that looks like it came from Reception.
What's included
• Full day timetable with time, lesson, room and what to bring, plus a heads up box when something is different
• A/B block timetable for two week or split timetables
• Now, next, done strip
• Task breakdown strip for one piece of work
• Change alert page: what's changing, when, what stays the same and who to ask
• After school and evening routine
• Work shift planner for placements
• Fading plan in four stages, from a full timetable to managing changes on their own phone
How I use it
I fill in the day with the pupil each morning at first, then hand it over. The change alert gets used before a cover lesson or a room move, not after. The fading plan keeps the support moving towards independence.
Print and laminate for use with a dry wipe pen. KS3, KS4 and post 16.
Format: PDF, 5 A4 pages.
