Description:
A pattern for a knitted cowl. Autumn’s Draft Cowl is inspired by the fall, the colors of the leaves, and how the wind blows them in all directions.
The pattern uses a geometrical arrow-like stitch pattern and 3 different colors.
This is simple colorwork that uses two colors for each row, alternating 3 stitches. The result? Easy manageable short floats! It can be your first project to try colorwork.
The cowl is worked in the round using a stockinette stitch.
The top and bottom of the cowl have folded hem, the pattern includes a short video tutorial on how to do it.
The pattern has 2 options for how tall the stripe can be and you can decide how many stripes to knit.
The pattern has row by row written instructions and charts for colorwork.
The pattern was designed using Miss Babs Yummy Toes Trios, but other combinations of fingering weight yarn will work too. When you’ll be choosing colors for your project, make sure all 3 have enough contrast between each other.
Sample in size Small and option 1 for the stripes made with colors Moss, Carnelian, Billy Button. Size Medium and option 2 for the stripes made with colors White Peppercorn, Dark Parchment, Stowaway.

Knit and purl, simple colorwork with 2 colors at once with short floats, using a whip stitch to sew on the hem.
