We've been a homeschooling family for over 8 years. In that time we've been both a dual-income family and a single-income family. We've had friends who come from different situations and have different needs. Today with inflation, the homeschool community is feeling the crunch more than ever! We deeply understand the need for affordable, engaging, high-quality homeschool curriculums.
Our curriculum was created with the idea that homeschooling should be accessible to all who feel the call. We thought long and hard about ways to keep prices as low as possible and a membership felt like the perfect way to do so. In offering a membership we are able to keep costs down to a low monthly payment rather than a one-time purchase. That payment covers your entire family. No need to pay per child.
I jumped on the Early Bird pricing, and boy do I not regret it. My kids have had a lot of fun water coloring the pages for Among The Forest People. We made some of the tea recipes from the bonus section and we had our first Poetry Tea Time. We love it so far!
I have 5 children and if I had to buy what was in this membership for each child, I could not afford to homeschool. Before this I tried a few different free online curriculums but they were kind of confusing or even overwhelming. This was for the most part open and go. I could read from the Main Guide and my kids could work on their student pages. We ate the cookies we made during our read-aloud. The narration guide gave me questions to ask that engaged us in a discussion about the book. It was so refreshing to have something I could use for us all.
I was so incredibly blessed to beta test this for Holly and I have to say that I felt like she was giving this away. She cares about the homeschool community and it shows in the tremendous amount of high-quality content that she packed into this membership.
The membership covers your whole family. You can buy one membership no matter how many children you are homeschooling! Our goal is always to keep homeschooling as affordable as possible.
We have both a monthly payment option and a yearly membership. You can choose to pay by month at $16 a month or you can choose our yearly plan and get 2 months free. You can cancel at any time.
It's true! This membership covers almost everything that you need to do in your homeschool. My goal is to make home education a family project, something to bond your children, delight them, and create lasting memories.
The subjects we do not cover in depth that you might want to add are Math, Grammar, and Foreign Language.
Most of the book titles we have chosen are in the public domain to keep costs down for homeschooling families. They are readily available online.
Our short stories are also chosen from the public domain but some of our suggestions for other books to extend lessons are not. These can be checked out from the library or found in thrift stores or used bookstores. We try to shy away from hard-to-acquire or expensive copies.
Read-aloud chapter books might also need to be checked out from the library or found at a used book store or thrift store. They again are common books that are easy to find, while still fitting the category of a good living book.
The books we use for our main curriculum are:
Or
These are all found in the public domain and links are provided to free copies of these books that are available for download.
The rest of the curriculum is printable and is provided in the membership. You can print as many pages as you need or as few as you need. We try to keep our printable pages as printer-friendly as possible.
This membership covers grades K through 6th fairly well. We offer two different history study options. Our Ancient History study is perfect for grades K-3. We also have an American History study which is geared towards grades 4-6. All of our other studies can generally be done with a wide age range. Students as young as 4 years can still get a lot out of a good art study. They might not remember the name of the artist but they can have fun recreating art alongside older students.
We will be adding supplemental materials for pre-k shortly as well as lesson extenders for older students but we do not have those in place quite yet.
We aim to support the entire homeschool community here. There is material for both secular homeschoolers and Christian homeschoolers. We are working on marking content as it relates to either, that process, however, is still in the works.
For Christian Homeschoolers: Under our bonus content you can find various items to help you extend your table time into the area of bible study. Currently, there are memory verses and some coloring pages. We are actively working on adding more content.
For Secular Homeschoolers: Our spines, which we use from the public domain to keep costs down do have some Christian content in them so if Christian content is a hard no for you I would suggest choosing your own secular history curriculum to study or maybe finding something different altogether.
I do not want to discourage you from using ours of course but I want to be honest that there is a good deal of content that is Christian within "A Child's History of the World" and "Charlotte Mason's Elementary Geography. We do have our own secular Geography written. However, History has no alternative to Ancient History. There are still plenty of other good things within the curriculum to use though including Nature Study, Folk Songs, Recipes, Handicrafts, Copywork, Creative Writing, Short Stories, Read-Alouds, Bonus Content and more!
