Hannah Made Simple

Hannah -- barren years and prevailing prayer: bringing her grief to God, keeping her vow, and raising the prophet Samuel (1 Samuel 1:10-20; 2:1-10).

Hannah Made Simple is a Bible-first walk through 1 Samuel 1 and 2: the shut womb and the worthy portion, the bitterness of soul poured out in the temple, the vow of a broken heart, the misunderstood prayer, the word of peace, the Lord's remembrance, the vow paid in full, Hannah's song, the barren who bore seven, the little coat brought year after year, and the prophet raised from a prayer -- Samuel, who anointed kings.

Explicitly Trinitarian: God the Father who shuts and opens, hears and remembers; Jesus Christ -- Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior, the greater Samuel, who wept and prayed and was answered with resurrection; and the Holy Spirit, who intercedes with groanings, teaches prevailing prayer, and alone breaks every stronghold. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit.

Read one chapter a day. Come honest. Weep before the Lord. Pray until heaven answers.
