Scout the Bug Detective

Nobody moves it alone.

Scout is a beagle puppy whose vest is a bit too big and whose ears are a lot too big, and he is going to grow into both of them any day now. He works the cargo shed, where a whole plane of flowers comes in overnight and every bunch has to be checked before sunrise. Somewhere in box forty-something, under the roses, is one small striped beetle who fell asleep a thousand miles away and woke up here. Finding him means doing the hardest thing a puppy can do: going slow. A warm, bouncing read-aloud about patience, and why slow finds everything.
