A tight week for cash often shows up on paper before it shows up in the bank. This workbook lays out the next 13 weeks of cash in and cash out, week by week, so you can spot a low week early, while you may still have time to move a payment or chase an invoice.

Digital download, nothing ships. One .xlsx file. Works in Excel or Google Sheets on any device. No macros, no add-ons.

WHAT IT DOES

  • Receipts Detail and Disbursements Detail: list one-time, weekly, biweekly or monthly items, and formulas place each one in the right week
  • AR Aging: enter open invoices with a due date and the share you expect to collect in the due week and the next three weeks
  • AP Schedule: enter open bills with a due date or a planned pay date. Past-due bills land in week 1
  • Scenarios: switch between Base, Conservative and Optimistic on Setup. Each one adjusts receipts and disbursements by a set percentage, only for the categories you mark
  • Minimum cash: set the cushion you want to keep, and every week that ends below it is flagged
  • Variance: log actual cash in and out each week and compare it to the forecast in dollars and percent, with weekly and to-date accuracy

WHAT YOU SEE

  • Dashboard: starting cash, lowest projected balance and its week, ending cash in week 13, total receipts, total disbursements and weeks below minimum, with a weekly ending cash vs minimum chart and a receipts vs disbursements chart
  • Forecast Summary: all 13 weeks line by line, from beginning cash through receipts and disbursements by category to ending cash and surplus or shortfall

TABS

Dashboard, Forecast Summary, Variance, Start Here, Setup, Receipts Detail, Disbursements Detail, AR Aging, AP Schedule, Actuals Log

Sample data for a service business starts the week of Jan 4, 2027 and shows how it works, including two low weeks. Clear it before you start, and Start Here walks you through it. Formula cells are locked, so you won't overwrite them by accident.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

  • It covers 13 weeks only. Items dated after week 13 are not counted. To plan the next period, change the start date on Setup.
  • It doesn't connect to your bank or accounting software. You enter every amount yourself, as positive numbers.
  • Monthly items land on the same day of the month as their start date.
  • Holds up to 100 receipt items, 100 disbursement items, 100 open invoices, 200 open bills and 500 actuals entries.

GOOD FOR

Small business owners and bookkeepers who want a short-term weekly view of cash, a lender or partner conversation backed by numbers, or a quick look at how a slower quarter might affect cash.

This is a planning tool, not tax, legal, financial or accounting advice. Forecasts depend on the figures you enter. It covers 13 weeks only.
